The Ellis 36 UltraJet® is an innovative design that results in a 27-plus-knot boat which can run in reasonably shallow water without wrapping stray rope, crab pots or lobster buoys around props. In southern waters this new design frees boaters from worrying about injuring manatees or damaging other sea life.
Unlike many other jet propelled boats, the water jets on the Ellis 36 UltraJet® are mounted horizontally. This allows water to be expelled straight out aft rather than down into the water at an angle. This improves effeciency and significantly reduces rooster-tailing.
